Obama silent on United States weapons for rebels Syria, commends the G8 Peace Plan

Berlin - the President Barack Obama refuses to describe the type of military aid that United States will give Syrian rebels as well as praise a decision by world leaders at a Summit that ended only to seek a negotiated peace.

Obama says while the leaders could not agree on which should go the Syrian President Bashar Assad, he has decided that it is not possible that Assad regain legitimacy.

Obama spoke at a Conference of press together with German Chancellor Angela Merkel (AHN '-GEH - lah MEHR'-kuhl).

Obama, the President Russian Vladimir Putin and other leaders of the industrial economies group of eight meeting in Northern Ireland this week tried to reduce the marked differences between Russia, a key support for Assad and other Western leaders.
