Billboard: Sales of Samsung Jay-Z album does not count

NEW YORK - Jay-Z has 99 problems and the Billboard is one.

Billboard, said on Friday that he will not include 1 million downloads album that Jay-Z is giving users of mobile phones of the Galaxy through an agreement with Samsung. Jay-Z announced the Association this week. His new album, "Carta Magna Holy Grail", premiering on July 7, but will leave the users of Samsung 1 million on July 4.

In a letter posted on the web site of Billboard, editorial director Bill Werde said that it does not have discharges because Samsung ultimately is not selling the album through their phones. It adds that it was not easy to reject the request from Jay-Z to include discharges in the Billboard.

Werde writes: "the argument eloquently and passionately by the team of Jay something was on sale and Samsung bought it... do not mesh with precedent".
