Hollywood there is no place for the faint of heart and is not marriage. However, Denzel and Pauletta Washington have managed to find success in both, and it is opening in how do them it in the August edition of Ebony magazine.
"It's not any magical mystery to [stay together]... We go through up and downs like any couple "Denzel told Ebony writer Shirley Henderson.
But Henderson says that it is the Foundation of the couple's faith, family and legacy he has seen over the past 30 years. (The Washingtons celebrated its 30th wedding anniversary June 25).
Pauletta (and by extension, Denzel), maintaining stability is the key to success in the Hollywood scene inconsistent otherwise.
"I live with this man. I see below. I see the sad part. See all parties. It has and know they have that stability in me as his wife. That gives it strength, regardless of if he does abuse. I can not dwell on that. "But I know that it gives you a great platform going to fly," says Paulette.
It is an approach that says transcends the passion and lust and who has clearly worked for Denzel.
"We live in a time - and it is not for me to judge anyone: when people give up too easy," said Denzel, exhibiting the same persistent spirit that led him to ask Pauletta to marry him three times.
