Falling Skies' Finale: fires the weapon Volm, but it will bring help, or more problems? (VIDEO)

falling skies finale'Falling Skies' Finale: the resistance finally fires the weapon, Volm, crippling the network Espheni

Throughout the season, "Falling Skies" had been building with the use of the weapon of Volm. Finally, after several setbacks along the way, they were ready to open fire on one of the massive towers of Espheni. Rebels set fake Chicago to launch the Espheni out of the way, while their real objective was to Boston.

Ultimately, the weapon that works... the Tower fell and dropped the defensive network of Espheni on the planet. When it did, the Volm were able to enter. As a result, arrival does not mark the end, although the Volm seemed to want to be the end of the human race - not extermination, but relocation and protection.

They said that they have never resisted the indigenous populations of planets that have helped relocation and protection. But humans want to fight. This is your war. It is something new for the Volm, and ultimately allowed human beings to go their way. Do but you just have to not say the Volm?

Karen, speaking on behalf of the Espheni, approached Tom with a white flag and a gift. He said that the Volm were lying about other things, but Tom does not gave him the opportunity to say much more. He shot as retribution for Anne and her daughter, who thought you were dead. However, the Espheni gave him still Karen gift: the return of Anne and her daughter, Lexi, both very much alive.

In line with many classic sci-fi TV shows, Lexi... a humano-extraterrestre-hybrid - had aged quickly and now looked at around six years of age. And apparently has super powers... was able to kill the "worms" infecting Lourdes.

Jonathan Welsh of The Wall Street Journal loved the action-packed final, but could not overcome a bigger disappointment. "No matter how good or bad that was the end, I believe this was a season largely wasted," he wrote. "The program did not have the drama or action of the season 1 or 2. Often it seemed that we were only afloat. The end made a little to fix that."

"Falling Skies" will have a chance at redemption next summer. TNT has already picked up a fourth season of the science fiction drama.
