Tampa Bay Rays third base Evan Longoria was among several players that shared their reactions to past doping drug scandal of the game. Three-time all-star acknowledged that the suspensions announced by Alex Rodríguez, Nelson Cruz, Jhonny Peralta and several other players made Monday a dark day in the history of major league but expresses hope that they represented an important step towards a cleaner games.

While players like Longoria and MLB officials expected that the punishment of this group of drugs cheats would help baseball improve its reputation, offences of the 13 players called on Monday were more personal to some players. Dan Meyer, who the past launched in the major leagues in 2010 for the Florida Marlins, showed how high can be bets for the players to do - and not turning to drugs that enhance performance.
