Working weapon manufactured in printer 3D bought by Victoria & Albert Museum

London - Great Britain Victoria & Albert Museum says that it has purchased a working weapon made from a printer in 3D, which caused alarm among activists against firearms when it was introduced in the United States.

The Museum says that the weapon is an addition to your collection of contemporary design "new, influential, innovative or experimental".

The weapon of the "liberator" was developed by the student of law of the University of Texas Cody Wilson and made of plastic components created on a 3D printer.

Wilson fired the weapon in may, and posted online plans, provoking a debate on the potential uses of the machines, which out layers of plastics, metals and other materials to create three-dimensional objects with moving parts of the pump.

The Museum, said on Sunday it had acquired two prototypes of liberator, a dismantled weapon and a number of items in the file.
