Dashon Goldson, Dawan Landry fined by the NFL for Hits during game Jets-Buccaneers

NEW YORK (AP) - security of Tampa Bay Dashon Goldson was fined $30,000 by the NFL on Friday for striking New York Jets tight end Jeff Cumberland in the area of head and neck in the teams season last Sunday.

The coup, which drew an unnecessary roughness penalty, resulted in Cumberland needing stitches to close a cut on his chin. He was also one of the few games in Victoria 18-17 from the Jets that were fined by the League.

Linebacker Lavonte David Buccaneers was docked $7,875 for unnecessary roughness when he pushed quarterback Geno Smith Jets on the ground outside the boundaries - toward the New York field goal. Linebacker teammate Daniel Te'o-Nasheim was fined the same amount for a mask penalty during a punt return.

Jets safety Dawan Landry was fined $21,000 for unnecessary roughness after hit receiver Mike Williams, considered a defenseless player - in the area of head and neck when Williams caught a 17-yard touchdown pass.

Green Bay linebacker Clay Matthews was fined $15,000 for a late hit from San Francisco Colin Kaepernick quarterback during the season opener. Matthews drew a penalty for lack of staff in the 49ers 34-28 victory Sunday after addressed Kaepernick outside of Green Bay in limits during the second quarter.

A brawl between players from both teams continued on the substitutes bench when Matthews and 49ers tackle Joe Staley began jostling.

Receiver Anquan Boldin San Francisco was docked $7,875 for a blow late on cornerback Jarrett Bush Packers in the third quarter, while linebacker Ahmad Brooks 49ers was fined $12.750 for a call of roughing - passer.

The greater fine of the week came on Tuesday, when the League announced that defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh Detroit was docked $100,000 for your block down illegal in the middle of Minnesota John Sullivan. Suh hit Sullivan during an interception return by linebacker DeAndre Levy Detroit, and penalty denied that it would have been a touchdown.

Washington-DeAngelo Hall was fined $20,000 for a tackle of Philadelphia want Jackson caballo-collar on Monday teams game. The penalty helped to create a unit of landing for the Eagles.

Defensive tackle Linval Joseph Giants was fined $15.750 for a low hit on quarterback Tony Romo Cowboys in the third quarter of the team Sunday night.

Were also discounted $7,875: Atlanta Kenny Vaccaro, Baltimore Gino Gradkowski and Jimmy Smith, St. Louis Cortland Finnegan and William Hayes for final blows; and Arthur moats of Buffalo, Anthony Castonzo of Indianapolis and Jordan Dion in Miami to make masks.
